Christine Malone, Ed.D., MHA, MBA, CMPE, FACHE, CPHRM, studied management practice and theory at Henry Cogswell College, receiving her B.S. in Professional Management. She continued her education at the University of Washington, obtaining her Master's Degree in Health Administration and a Master's in Business Administration. Christine then received her doctorate in education from City University of Seattle.
Christine has over 30 years of experience in the healthcare field, having spent time working as a dental assistant, a medical receptionist, a medical assistant, an x-ray technician, a medical clinic director, a director of specialty services, hospitalists, and palliative care teams, and as a consultant to healthcare providers, focusing on strategic management, efficient office flow, and human resource management.
Since 2004, Christine has taught at Everett Community College in Washington State. As a tenured instructor, she teaches Medical Law and Ethics, Business Communications, and Healthcare Risk Management. In 2006, Christine researched and developed a certificate program in Healthcare Risk Management. This series of three courses are offered via distance learning and provides the student who completes the three courses a Certificate in Healthcare Risk Management.
In addition to her position at Everett Community College, Christine was the Program Director overseeing the B.S. and M.S. in Healthcare Administration at City University of Seattle. Christine created program and course learning objectives, assessments, and rubrics in that role.
Christine has her Certification in Vocational Teaching and pediatric palliative care training. Christine has her Certification with the American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE), Fellowship status with the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), and certification with the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management (ASHRM). She is a member of the Washington State Healthcare Executive Forum (WSHEF) and is active in healthcare politics on both the local and national levels. She has been the guest speaker at various events on healthcare issues and in continuing education courses nationwide.
Christine has a Black Belt Lean Six Sigma Certification from the University of Charleston, West Virginia, in 2022. She is also Certified as a Campus Security Authority with the Clery Center since 2022.
